Whanau represents the strong bond of love, unity and protection among the family, including extended family and loved ones.
The love and support given to and by whanau.
It is shown in this sculpture by the young fronds of the silver fern being lovingly protected by the older fronds which is the whole concept of the love and protection of the family.
 
This sculpture is made of green soapstone.
Measurements: 49cm x 20cm x 12cm with the included stand.
